My open source projects

I have created 2 open source projects which I have developed to deepen my understanding about .NET framework and make the life of developers a little bit easier. Here they are:

Portkey.NET and Pensieve.NET

As you may have noticed I am a Harry Potter fan and that is why the names. I will write more about the projects and their naming in more detail in another post.

WCF using UserName Authentication

From today morning I have been struggling with setting up a WCF service which uses user name and password as authentication. Microsoft documentation is not adequate to explain the intricacies.

I found a very useful step by step instruction on how to setup the X509 certificate at Dev @ Work. Thanks Bert Willems.

How to write a short e-book

I have been thinking about how to spell out some of the ideas that i have regarding development, investing etc. Writing a book seems a natural way because it not only puts the idea out but clarifies the thinking as well. But writing a book seems like a very big project.

Seth Godwin describes “How to make an ebook“,

Also some good resources can be found at “A simple guide to compiling a free ebook

I got the idea from J. D. Meier’s Zen of result free e-book

Hope someday i will have clear idea as to what i need to write on. Then these resources will help a lot.
